There are two types of pre-existing conditons: those that can be cured and those that cannot.

Some plans exclude all pre-existing conditions. Other plans take into account the difference between pre-existing conditions that are curable so you may get coverage in the future for curable conditions. When doing your pet insurance comparison, consider:

The most common curable conditions are:
* Respiratory infections
* Urinary tract infections
* Vomiting and/or diarrhea
* Bladder infections

The most likely incurable conditions are:
* Orthopedic illness or injury on the opposite side of a prior injury.
* Allergies
* Cancer
* Diabetes
* Lipomas or skin lumps
* Hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism
* Urinary or bladder crystals or blockages

So when you start your pet insurance comparison, be sure to evaluate the above conditions.  Your pet insurance plan may or may not make allowances. Choose carefully and know what your are buying.
