Whats the cheapest pet insurance deal?

I know it is very confusing when shopping for pet insurance. There are too many information out there and cause a case of information overload.

No pet insurance are the same and you need to find one that tailors to your cat’s need. You have to be careful when choosing because some insurance company place a low cap on their reimbursement even though you are paying for higher premiums. Some will have low deductibles but will not cover much illness or low coverage for accidents and diagnosis. Many insurance companies will not cover pre existing conditions.

I cannot recommend one that stood out from the rest because what my cat needs might be different from what you need.

Some guidelines:-

How old is your pet? The best time to purchase a pet health insurance policy is when your pet is young. Most pet health problems happen in the last two years of your pet’s life. So, the younger your pet is, the better

Is your breed prone to medical problems? While policy premiums are generally not based on breed, certain hereditary conditions are excluded.

For instance, Persian cats are prone to polycystic kidney disease (PKD). You can still buy pet insurance for your Persian; just don’t be surprised if it fails to cover related issues (some pet insurance policies may cover this, so check with your provider to make sure before you buy).

Is your pet already sick? Most pet insurance providers won’t cover pre-existing conditions. However, if you can prove your pet had a condition that has been cured, that may be covered.

Can you choose your own veterinarian? For many pet owners, vet choice is key, and for good reason. Some pet insurance companies require you to use veterinarians on their own network. Others don’t. As always, check with your provider regarding your choice of veterinarian.

What is your pet’s lifestyle? If your dog or cat spends most of his time outdoors, that will increase his/her risk of illness or injury.

What is covered? Many pet owners purchase pet health insurance policies to protect themselves from the high cost of future medical problems. Others want regular pet care such as annual physical exams and routine checkups and cleanings.

Just be advised that most standard pet insurance policies cover catastrophic accidents and illnesses. Routine vet visits tend to come as add-ons and/or riders.

What State do you Live In? If you are searching on the internet for pet health insurance, you need to check this. Just because a provider does business online doesn’t mean it services your state.

Check The Insurance Company’s Track Record

Every state in the U.S. has an insurance commissioner. If the insurance company you are considering has had legal/ethical issues that should cause you concern, the insurance commissioner’s office in your state or province should know about it. Check with them before you buy.

There are two types of pre-existing conditons: those that can be cured and those that cannot.

i have a 3 months Maltese poodle mix and shes kinda made my house smelly. now, im wondering what sorts of cleaning products are pet safe that i can get at my local walmart or target.

I go all natural in my home. Baking soda works as a great, and safe, cleaner in all sorts of ways. Put a little in a dish and mix it with a little water to make a paste or gentle abrasive (like how you would use Comet powder). Mix well in a bottle with more water and spray the carpet. Let it dry, then vacuum it up. It will take the smell out of the carpet. Mix water and vinegar as a general household cleaner instead of other sprays. (That one should be a lot of water and only a little vinegar.)

They wouldn’t give me insurance because she is 12. So, I lied and said she was 8 and now they accepted her for pet insurance? How can they verify the age and when he turns 12 on their books will the at that point terminate my insurance?

They don’t know – they rely on what they are told by the owner. Or they could find out from your vet. But lying about a pet’s age is fraud and if found out, you could not only find yourself getting no money from the company, but being prosecuted for fraud. I don’t advise it.

Some companies stop insuring cats over a certain age, ie they will continue to insure those who were insured before they reached that age, but won’t insure pets for the first time if they are over a certain age, but other companies will. Older cats are more prone to illness and more likely to be paid out for, so some companies will only insure such pets if they are already insured. If you are in the UK? there are companies who will insure a 12 year old – sainsbury’s are one and I think Axa will as well. I don’t advise lying to any company about your cat’s age.

Insurance for my TOTO?

I am online trying to compare and (consider) getting pet insurance for my cairn and I’m stumped. I don’t hear about too many people who have pet insurance. I can probably see why, because unlike human insurance, you have to pay up front no matter what the situation of your pet is. You could have an emergency on your hands and the bill is 1200.00 and you have to pay it right then and there, but then if you have the pet insurance you have to wait some weeks before getting reimbursed. My thing is what’s the point? If I had that kinda of money sitting around, then I would just pay for my pet and call it a day. I guess I really don’t understand it. Is it really wise to even get insurance for my pet. I want my pet healthy, but I cannot afford huge vet bills either.

I think you have it already figured out — it’s pretty much a waste of money. Veterinarians aren’t like human doctors — they don’t refuse to treat animals who have no insurance. Even if you have the insurance, you still have to pay up front and submit the claim. I’d rather just set up a separate savings account and make small deposits into it “just in case”.

How to string together plastic pet toys…?

Whatt can I use to string together several plastic pet toys (shaped like food) so that they can be worn around the waist? (It’s for a costume). Would cord work?
It’s a Seven Deadly Sins costume. The pet toys are the Gluttony portion. They are shaped like burgers, hot dogs, ice cream cones, donuts and Oreo-like cookies. I want to string them together so they can go around the waist. Though your buffet party idea sounds like fun, too.

The method you use depends on if you want to re-use the pet toys or not and also the look you’re trying to achieve.

–Hot glue gun on some yarn or rope or Ribbon?

–Using a carpet needle to puncture the toys and then string together.

like the brands super pet and those types at the PET store and do they make good money????

Well make sure you know whats safe for all rodents. You will make more $ if you make more things for different rodents [rabits and chinchillas dont forget about them!]
Dont make them outrageously pricey. People dont wanna spend 30 dollars on something thats going to be torn to shreds!
Post up sign at a local small petstore buisness, talk to the manager or owner and see if he will aprove for your toys to be up for sale [of course they will want some profit but if it gets started totally worth it!]
Make a website that they can order off of, makes sure you have on you website the fact that you “strive for there pets safety” and make sure you stick to it!
