Canadians -What insurance company do you think offers the best type of dog insurance?

I have a 4 month old puppy and I’m currently looking to insure her for future peace of mind -since I’ve heard of the high expenses owners might come to face in case of any future illnesses, accidents, etc…. With so many insurance companies out there and so many different types of coverages -one begins to just scratch their head out of confusion. (Especially for new pet owner such as myself) Also, is it possible to over-insure? Please tell me what you think based on your experiences. Such as: suggestions, things to look out for, etc….

I’d recommend Pet Plan. We’re going to get another dog and we’ll get their insurance. Living on a pension and not wanting any surprises, we’re going to hopefully go for the best plan. You have to get a quote based on the type of dog and it’s age. Until we get it, we won’t know.
I had it for my bullmastiff and it came in handy so many times when I was single. I would have not been able to meet her special needs if it hadn’t been for that. I certainly recommend it – even if you get the first plan.
Their brochure is online – they list what each plan covers and what the deductibles for each are. Then just ask them for a quote.
